Who we are
The App Roundup is an independent website operated from London, United Kingdom. For any privacy question, or to make a request about your data, write to hello@theapproundup.com.
What is collected
- Standard server and analytics information — pages visited, approximate location from IP address, browser and device type, and the site you arrived from.
- Advertising and measurement data via the Meta pixel, described below.
- Anything you choose to send us by email, which is used only to reply.
There are no accounts on this site, and we do not ask for names, addresses or payment details.
The Meta pixel
This site uses the Meta pixel, a piece of code provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. It records that a browser visited a page here and reports that back to Meta, using cookies and similar identifiers.
It is used to measure whether our advertising works and to show advertising to people who have visited the site. Meta acts as an independent controller for the data it receives. Their handling of it is governed by Meta's own privacy policy.
You can limit this in your Meta account advertising settings, by using browser tracking protection, or by declining non-essential cookies where a prompt is shown.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links pass through a click-tracking service so we can tell which pages lead to sign-ups. This records the click, the page it came from, and basic device information. It does not identify you by name. Once you land on a third-party site, that company's own privacy policy applies.
Legal basis
Under UK GDPR, analytics and advertising cookies are used on the basis of consent, and essential site operation on the basis of legitimate interests. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by clearing cookies and declining when prompted.
How long data is kept
Analytics and click data are retained for up to 26 months. Email correspondence is kept for up to 24 months after the last reply.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of any personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used. Email the address above and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below changes with it.
